The Story Behind NKM

NKM WoodWorks was founded by Nathan and Sandy Morrill, a husband-and-wife team with a shared love for craftsmanship, family, and meaningful work.

It all started when their youngest son qualified for a national mountain bike competition, and the couple needed a way to raise money for his trip to Virginia. Nathan, who had spent years woodworking for friends and family, had the idea to craft and sell rolling pins.

Together, they worked as a family—brainstorming, building, and sharing their first batch, to shape the early customer experience. What began as a one-time fundraiser quickly became something more: a growing demand for beautifully made, all-natural kitchen tools, and a desire to build a business rooted in heart, heritage, and hands-on craftsmanship.
